The First People’s Hospital of Foshan
The First People’s Hospital of Foshan is the largest
comprehensive hospital in Foshan, undertaking the task of
medical treatment, teaching, scientific research, health care
& rehabilitation, and steering the medical work of the
whole city. It is situated in the Chennan New District of
Foshan, covers a land of 71509 square meters, and has a building
area of 143173 square meters. It closes to a natural scenic
area to the east and the Dafu Road to the west, and connects
with the Fochen Avenue to the south and Jihua Road to the
north. It has a beautiful environment and convenient traffic.
It sets up 38 clinic medical technology offices, governs a
tumor hospital and Chuihong Outpatient Department, and implements
a general group management. It sets up 12 large feature therapy
centers including a national aesthetic dentistry center, China
Cardiovascular Technical Collaboration Training Center Municipal
Hospital Sub-center, Heart Interventional Therapy Center and
Gynaecologic Laparoscopy Therapy Center, over 20 advantaged
specialties including Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery,
Pediatric Cardiology Department, Obstetrics and Gynecology
etc., and 14 specialty laboratories including Reproductive

The Second People’s Hospital of Foshan
The Second People’s Hospital of Foshan, situated in
the busy center of Foshan for the convenience of the patients,
is a comprehensive hospital integrating medical treatment,
teaching, research and prevention with advanced equipment
and a complete set of disciplines.
The Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital of Foshan
The Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital of Foshan, established
in 1956, is a comprehensive “III-Grade A-level”
Chinese medicine hospital integrating medical treatment, teaching,
research and prevention, and well-known for its traumatology
in the world. The overall hospital has a building area of
60000 square meters for medical occupancy, builds a unique-shaped
outpatient united building and a towering 17-floor modern
hospitalization building with a helicopter parking apron on
the roof, with comfort and fine wards, a central oxygen supply
system, a central air-conditioning system, a central hot water
supply system, a central acoustic system and modern call device,
providing a neat, elegant, convenient, and comfort treatment-taking

Foshan Emergency Medical Center
The emergency treatment office of The First People’s
Hospital of Foshan, formally established at the beginning
of 1990, has become an emergency medical center with high
technology and advanced equipment after about ten years’
development. It not only assumes the hospital’s rescue
work for emergency treatment but also undertakes the pre-hospital
first aid of the whole hospital.
It provides pre-hospital first aid at a high speed and with
a strong ability to respond and a high overall quality, reaching
the domestically advanced level. The emergency medical center
has a reasonable layout, superior equipment, and strong technical
force, and sets up 2 emergency rescue rooms, 6 diagnostic
rooms, one emergency ICU room, 21 observation beds, 84 beds
in the transfusion zone and a central therapy room.
Foshan Maternity & Child Health Care Center
Foshan Maternity & Child Health Care Center was established
in November 1951, the predecessor of which is “Guangdong
Foshan Maternity & Child Health Care Center”.
It was added a name “Foshan Maternal & Children’s
Hospital” in October 1991 after approval of the Foshan
People’s Government, passed the review of “II-grade
A-level” hospital by an excellent achievement in March
1993, and rated as an “II-grade A-level” specialty
hospital. The hospital’s department of gynaecology
and obstetrics and department of newborns are equipped with
sophisticated medical wardship equipment, and have a full-set
gynaecology and obstetrics laboratory, and genetics laboratory.
They can complete monitoring of pregnant women, embryos,
and placenta function and whole-course wardship of mothers
& newborns.
